Tips on Selecting Web Hosting Service Providers

[ 27.01.2010 | sumberide.com ]

Web hosting is the kind of service that web masters seek so that they can create their website and have it published on the World Wide Web. Website creation is done using something known as HTTP format and once it is ready to be published on the WWW, one would need to seek web hosting services so that the site can be published. First of all, you will be required to register a domain name. A domain name is the name that appears after the WWW in a URL for instance www dot gst dot com, ‘gst’ is the domain name in this case.

The WWW part is generally not registered as it doesn’t count in any way. The moment you register your domain name, you will be expected to pay some agreed upon amount for it to become your legal property. You register the domain name with a hosting company, although you can always change the service provider if you aren’t satisfied with the services you get.

Well, a well created and registered website however doesn’t attract clients to your website. You will need to do a lot of advertisement so that you can get people to know about your website. The good thing is that hosting companies offer advertisement services for a small fee, and since they are experts in the field, it would do you no harm to contract them if you don’t know of ways of advertising your website to make an online presence.

Getting the most perfect web hosting service provider isn’t always easy, at least not as it sounds. But the fact that the industry is flooded with so many service providers, and just the thought that the customer can always change from one service provider to another when the need be, web host service providers endeavor to provide their best in terms of quality of service offered. One of the things that you should look out for is the reliability of the company, and how fast is the service being offered.

The two most crucial things that you have to check when it comes to the kind of service being offered are the disk space and bandwidth. Always ensure that the amount of disk space that you get is sufficient enough to hold all your web pages and files in whatever format you like be it video, MP3, etc. note that these formats use a lot of bandwidth hence the amount of bandwidth should also be a factor. There are other service providers who offer unlimited bandwidth, but it is you to gauge on the right type of service that you want as per your website needs.

Of equal importance to inquire from the company is about the different websites they can show off that they have hosted and how long they have been on business, and the qualifications of the technical staff. You should use the websites they will give you as reference to refer in order to gauge their services and the speed. Never just settle for the first service provider, you can ask from 3 or 4 in order to compare the prices and services and get a clear understanding of what your website deserves, and what your budget mandates.

How to Become the Best Blog Site in Your Niche

[ 24.01.2010 | sumberide.com ]

Being the best blog site in your niche carries many advantages especially if you blog to make money. Operating a blog that has a strong following is a reflection of the dedication and commitment invested into the ongoing process of the blog development itself. Any blog owner/operator knows what it takes to attract and retain the average blog reader and this is not something that happens overnight.

Now if you blog to make money you can see how a strong reader base could benefit you financially. In addition your authority within the niche will make it all the easier for you to attract additional readers since other blogs will have the tendency to link to your site.

What we’re going to focus on here today is the importance of paying attention to the comments left by subscribers at your site. Within these comments you can find valuable nuggets of information that can be used to improve not only the blog but even your marketing strategy.

Here are 3 ways to use these blog reader comments that can help you become a more effective blogger and marketer.

Market Research Information

Putting out questions to your subscribers asking their opinions on certain products or trends could yield useful market research information as to current consumer preferences. Another approach could be polling your readers on what are some of their more pressing problems to which they wish they had a solution: what bugs them!

In both these scenarios the response of your subscribers could uncover a previously hidden niche or trend you could capitalize on. Market research information like this can easily cost a significant sum for a large corporation but you can collect this information right from your blog and use it to your advantage.

Blog Performance Feedback

Asking for opinions on the subjects of your post or perhaps the content itself can give you feedback as to whether you may need to make a change. Even simple inquiries about the layout of your blog, the graphics that are used, or the format of your posts could lead to dramatic improvements for the site.

Remember your blog is really for your readers so you should strive to give them what they want.

Encourages Interaction

Involving subscribers in these polling processes or even merely responding to their comments helps complete the ‘cycle’ of interactivity. This creates a sense of community for subscribers and increases their satisfaction. People like to know that their words or opinions are being heard and better yet acted upon.

Being the best blog site within your niche comes with many advantages and benefits but it also translates into a certain amount of commitment. When you blog to make money the stakes go even higher. Learning to tap into any available resource that can enhance your blog development and marketing effectiveness is a valuable skill. Using comments left by blog readers as we discussed above will allow you to put more distance between yourself and your competition. It is simply up to you to recognize and act upon any useful information a blog reader may have already left on the site for you even if it hasn’t been solicited.

Blogging Mistakes

[ 21.07.2009 | sumberide.com ]

A blog is an on-line diary. So how can there be a “right” or “wrong” way of blogging? How can you make mistakes with your blog? There isn’t and usually, you can’t. Some expert bloggers have their own ideas of “dos” and “don’ts”, but a blog should be fun, or a place where you can “just let it all out”.

Friends and family are great, but sometimes you just want to get it all out without comment, advice or snide remarks. Which will NEVER happen with friends and family. They immediately think they have to help. They have to do something to make it all better.

But if you like to blog here are some points that are important to remember:

1. Never apologize. This is your blog, your personal thoughts. If you haven’t written for a while, who cares, most likely no one noticed anyway.

2. These are your thoughts, don’t just repeat what everyone else is saying. Each blog has a comment section, if you want to comment on someone’s thoughts, do it there.

3. Don’t write an essay. People are busy. It is better to write several short blogs than one long one.

4. Write like you are talking to actual people, because you are. Every person that reads your blog is a real live person.

Simple. Writing a blog isn’t rocket science. It is a fun social network where you can say what you think, comment on what other members say and meet new people with similar interests. Write as often or as little as you want. Some sites do not have any restrictions, so you can write anything you want.

Finding Content For Your Articles And Blogs

[ 15.07.2009 | sumberide.com ]

Have you ever wanted to write an article, make a video, or add something to you blog to help build your network marketing business but you aren’t sure what to say? Getting the word out and marketing our business means lots and lots of content if people are going to find us.

So how do we come up with ideas for adding content that’s relevant and that others will find helpful or interesting? Here are a few ideas.

Did you learn something new in a training call recently? How about writing a review for a great book you just read? Not any book, but one on personal development, leadership, or something that would benefit others wanting to build a network marketing business also.

Another suggestion is to check out some network marketing discussion forums. See what people are posting and/or asking about. Chances are if someone wants help with something, others do also. If you don’t know the answer do some research and find out and you can not only post there and possibly get some visitors to your web site from your signature line, but post an article or add something new to your blog about it.

If you market health products, you may want to start a health related blog. In addition to writing about your specific products you can add articles about nutrition, the benefits of exercise, healthy recipes, etc. Check out health blogs or a great resource is Natural Health News by Mike Adams. Be sure, of course, to write articles in your own words and don’t just copy from elsewhere.

Find out your company’s policy if you don’t already know it as to whether you can use their name online. Some companies do not allow it. Also be careful if you are writing about health products that you don’t make any medical claims or cures.

New to Blogging? Here Are Some Key Principles That You Need to Adopt to Have a Successful Blog

[ 12.07.2009 | sumberide.com ]

If you’re reading this article, that means you’re interested in blogging and you want your blog to be a success. Good for you. A blog is a great tool to use to establish expertise in a particular arena. Keep reading for more insights on what it takes to become a successful blogger.

Principle #1-Define success in your own terms.
You have to decide for yourself what a successful blog looks like. Is the weblog bringing you a lot of money? Do you have a lot of loyal subscribers? It all depends on what you want.

Principle #2-Post regularly.
You don’t have to post three times in one day. You do have to decide on a schedule that you can stick to. You’ll turn your readers off if you post on an irregular schedule.

Principle #3-Check your sources before you repeat a story.
I can’t stress this point enough. There are a lot of fake news sites out there. I know you want to be the first to break a story, but you need to make sure something is actually true before you report on it. The last thing you want is to gain a reputation for reporting inaccurate news.

Principle #4-Post original content.
People want to see what YOU have to say about your topic of choice. You do your readers a disservice if you just repeat what other people have to say about your topic. Even if you disagree with the mainstream, post your opinion. This is your site, you don’t have to agree with what everyone else says.

Blogging can be a useful tool to promote yourself. Take some time to figure out what you want from your blog. A little planning can save a lot of aggravation later. Happy blogging!
